VR Survival Game: The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Tourist Edition (PSVR2)

Overview

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners – Tourist Edition is a 15-to-20-hour post-apocalyptic survival experience developed by Skydance Interactive. The Tourist is trapped in flooded New Orleans, fighting for access to a reserve full of resources for survival.

Scavenge supplies with a map and drawing in search of hidden caches and intel. You get a tough AI enemy, armaments with set durability before breaking and a survival game that is tough as nails. As you plan how to take down each zombie and what path to take to avoid other dangers, the atmosphere is always tense.

As everything you find generates useful materials, you’ll be collecting it all. With these resources, you can craft an array of weapons and ammunition at workbenches — knives, bats, guns, etc. Because of the PSVR2 Sense Controllers’ impressive adaptive triggers, each weapon feels very different. Armour, food, and medicine are all essential in this harsh environment.

You will also encounter a variety of factions; some will let you roam freely and give you side missions; others will shoot you straight. It can be very terrifying to get shot or grabbed by walkers due to headset haptics and the requirement to shake off undead. Walking creatures can even start fights between rival factions or overrun whole areas, turning your group undead. Gun-toting members and helmet-wearing walkers are the only enemy types that vary.

Aside from its survival aspects, Saints and Sinners is also visually stunning, with incredibly detailed models and dark, dingy environments; it’s an unforgettable adventure. VR titles like this have a compelling story and creative gameplay. PSVR2 gamers should not miss out on The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners – Tourist Edition, a game that takes the post-apocalyptic survival genre to the next level.
