Wagasa’s Parry can deflect practically any attack if you aim directly at it and time it correctly (there is a small window and a brief cooldown). You’ll have to learn timing, but it’s an unbeatable defense. In addition, it consumes Stamina like few other techniques – you can only use it three times in succession before needing to recharge.<\/p>\n
In three sections above your health bar, there is a gauge for your weapon called the Spindance gauge. Whenever you land damage on an enemy, this gauge will increase, and if you successfully parry an attack, it will increase significantly. To keep it topped up, you’ll need to keep pressing it over time.<\/p>\n
When the gauge reaches one of the notches, the Wagasa’s damage will increase (the weapon will glow orange). By filling it to the brim, you’ll give it a serious damage boost, and you can go in more aggressively.<\/p>\n
