<\/p>\nWith Fortnite Augments, you can give yourself a competitive edge against your opponents, as the boosts, weapons, and special abilities they offer can really change the way you play. As you’re presented with a random choice every time, what augments you’re offered are up to luck. You can, however, reroll your current selection for a new one if you don’t like your current selection. There are now over 30 different possibilities if you unlock them all, and the variety of effects means that all playstyles are catered for, so here’s a breakdown of all of the augments in Fortnite and an explanation of how to activate them.<\/p>\n
Some of these Fortnite Augments are incredibly useful, for example letting you travel around in vehicles without consuming fuel or adding powerful weapons to your inventory. There are even ones you’ll unlock as you continue your Fortnite progress that will show you the locations of the next couple of storm circles, or ping any nearby enemies each time the storm moves to reveal their positions, giving you a huge intel advantage over your opponents. Your first choice of Fortnite Augments will appear around two and a half minutes into a match, then a new pair will be added every further two and a half minutes until all four slots are available. This is represented by a ‘Ready!’ notification at the side of the screen, at which point you can press right on the d-pad to open the menu and activate augments in Fortnite. There’s no longer a short countdown before this appears, but you can open your inventory then switch to the Augments tab to see how long is left until your next choice is available.<\/p>\n
For each of the four available slots you’ll be presented with two Fortnite Augments to choose between, from the selection you’ve unlocked so far. You can also reroll by following the prompt at the bottom to get two new choices \u2013 this is free the first time in a match, but subsequent rerolls will cost you 100 bars each. To activate augments in Fortnite, simply highlight the one you want to use then press the right trigger to select it and start reaping the benefits.<\/p>\n

You begin with a selection of Fortnite Augments available, and more are added to your collection as you play matches and activate your existing perks. Here are all 32 of the augment options, including those you’ll unlock as you play, along with details of the buffs they provide if selected. First Assault
\nThe first bullet in the magazine of your assault rifle deals bonus damage.<\/p>\n
Pistol Amp
\nPistols have greatly increased magazine size.<\/p>\n
Light Fingers
\nWeapons using light ammo reload faster.<\/p>\n
Bow Specialist
\nBows draw and reload faster, and you regenerate arrows over time.<\/p>\n
Mechanical Archer
\nReceive an Explosive and Shockwave Bow.<\/p>\n
Demolitions Munitions
\nObjects you destroy have a chance to drop explosives. Excludes player-built structures.<\/p>\n
Rifle Recycle
\nWeapons using medium ammo have a chance not to consume ammo.<\/p>\n
Tactical Armory
\nGrants a Rare Tactical AR and Combat Shotgun.<\/p>\n
Rushing Reload
\nSprinting will slowly reload your equipped Shotgun.<\/p>\n
Shotgun Striker
\nShotguns give siphon on hits against players.<\/p>\n
Danger Hero
\nYou briefly regenerate health and gain movement speed when your shield breaks (Overshield excluded).<\/p>\n
Rift-jector Seat
\nWhenever your shield breaks, you rift into the sky (Overshield excluded).<\/p>\n
Sniper Surplus new
\nSniper Rifles gain 1 extra ammo in their magazine.<\/p>\n
Last Shots new
\nThe last 2 bullets of your pistol magazines deals bonus damage.<\/p>\n
Exotic Grab Bag new
\nReceive a Random Heisted Exotic Weapon.<\/p>\n
Aerialist
\nGain the ability to deploy your glider.<\/p>\n
Chug Gunner
\nReceive a Chug Cannon.<\/p>\n
Rarity Check
\nYou gain siphon on eliminations with common or uncommon weapons.<\/p>\n
Mythic Munition
\nReceive a Fortnite Mythic Pistol.<\/p>\n
More Parkour
\nYour energy regenerates briefly after mantling or hurdling.<\/p>\n
Supercharged
\nVehicles you’re inside have increased health and only consume fuel while boosting.<\/p>\n
Bloodhound
\nEnemies hit by your marksman rifle or bow shots are marked for a brief duration.<\/p>\n
Bush Warrior
\nYou regenerate health and partial shields whilst inside large foliage, except while in the storm.<\/p>\n
Party Time
\nGain Balloons over time.<\/p>\n
Tricked Out
\nEntering a Car or Truck applies Chonkers and a Cow Catcher to it.<\/p>\n
Forecast
\nYou can see the next few storm circles.<\/p>\n
Storm Mark
\nWhen the storm changes, ping the area to highlight nearby enemies for a short duration.<\/p>\n
Soaring Sprints
\nJump much higher and with lower gravity while Sprinting.<\/p>\n
Zero Chance
\nTemporarily gain the Zero Point dash ability each time you break an enemy’s Shield.<\/p>\n
Shadow Striker
\nYou have a chance to find Shadow Bombs in containers you open.<\/p>\n
Icy Slide
\nGain icy speed boost briefly after sliding.<\/p>\n
Splash Medic
\nYou have a chance to find Chug Splash in every container you open.<\/p>\n
Jelly Angler
\nReceive a Fishing Rod. You can use it to fish anywhere, but you can only fish up Jellyfish.<\/p>\n
Peely’s Plunder
\nReceive a Treasure Map that will lead you to buried treasure.<\/p>\n
Harvester
\nFoliage objects you destroy drop Big Bush Bombs and forageables. Increased effectiveness of eating forageables.<\/p>\n
