<\/p>\nRazer’s Naga V2 Pro replaces our favorite pointer. Having discarded the budget Razer Naga X, and sitting on the shelves for a few years, the V2 offers a true return to form. Naga mice are versatile despite the budget models, which don’t come with hot-swappable faceplates. The Razer Naga V2 Pro has a supercharged sensor, enhanced optical switches, and a customizable scroll wheel. The Naga V2 Pro is a full 12-button MMO (swappable for 6 or 2) that aims to please everyone.<\/p>\n
With its humped and squat design, the Razer Naga V2 Pro is similar to its predecessors. Even though it weighs 134g, it is easy to carry around. With the pinky wrapped on top of the textured side, there is a small ledge on the right side for resting the ring finger.<\/p>\n

With two- and four-button options, the left-hand side is textured for extra grip, while the third option features a larger 12-button array. Switching from the Razer Viper V2 Pro made a noticeable difference in size and shape. In comparison to the ultralight Viper, the Naga Pro V2 felt a little too cumbersome for twitch-reflex, first-person shooters, but it provided more stability overall. Three side plates feature easy-to-reach buttons that click well.<\/p>\n
Under the main scroll wheel, the Naga V2 Pro has two additional programmable buttons, as well as a preset switcher. Razer gaming mice typically feature that placement, which isn’t very fast to switch. The mouse comes with a removable puck that can be swapped out for wireless charging (sold separately).<\/p>\n

There are two major features of the Razer Naga V2 Pro: swappable side plates and a customizable scroll wheel. Although the former was present in previous entries, it was dropped for a lower price point (Razer also launched the Naga V2 Hyperspeed at the same time, which limited side buttons to 12). You’re getting up to 20 programmable inputs here, which is perfect for MOBA players.<\/p>\n
Naga’s V3 also includes the HyperScroll Pro wheel, which was introduced in the Basilisk V3. Logitech’s G502 models have used a feature similar to free spinning for some time now. Naga’s V2 Pro takes it a step further. As well as detecting when you need a free spin, the V2 Pro also offers six scrolling modes. Changing tension and speed, this scroll jumps from a fast, tight movement to a slower, more refined one. With Synapse 3, you can switch between tension\/speed presets (or enable browser detection to switch to a smoother feeling when certain applications are launched), or create your own.<\/p>\n

The Naga V2 Pro’s mouse buttons support Razer’s HyperShift option, letting you set up at least five profiles and three faceplates simultaneously.<\/p>\n
A wireless gaming mouse with 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connections (wired connections are also possible through USB-C). You’ll get a 1,000Hz polling rate natively with the 2.4GHz dongle.
