<\/p>\nWith its impressive customization options and stellar audio support, the Nacon Revolution X Pro controller is a gamepad that stands out as one of the most popular PC controllers and Xbox controllers for gaming.<\/p>\n
There is no doubt that the Revolution X Pro controller shares some of the design traits of Nacon’s previous flagship console and PC gamepads. But is it sufficient to dethrone them?<\/p>\n

Nacon Revolution X Pro controllers offer a few physical customization options. There are also physical weights for grips, replaceable thumbstick heads, and metal shafts for adjusting analog sticks’ movement. The controller, however, has features that would not be out of place on other esports-centric gamepads. Two large programmable buttons are on the back of the unit that can be dialed in to do anything you want. There is a dedicated button for changing profiles, of which four are stored at any time.<\/p>\n
Although there are fewer options to drastically alter the soundscapes through the 3.5mm jack, Dolby Atmos is baked into the Nacon Revolution X Pro Controller’s software. It works as expected. Despite switching around the EQ settings, it sounded very similar when I used wired headphones and headsets.<\/p>\n
Revolution X is still not flawless, but you can download it from either your Windows Store or Xbox Series X console’s online storefront. You can customize controller profiles (or edit existing ones) using the application, but there doesn’t seem to be much difference between them. To be honest, vague descriptors like ‘FPS’, ‘Stealth’, and ‘Action’ did not seem to change much.<\/p>\n

With one obvious exception, the Nacon Revolution X Pro Controller looks very similar to the standard Xbox Wireless Controller. The RGB light ring surrounds the right analog stick and there’s no accounting for taste, but I think it adds a sense of novelty and interest to otherwise a fairly by-the-numbers controller. A deliberate carving beneath the left analog stick and the face buttons gives the controller an almost military-style, angular feel; it’s very subtle, but it looks cool.<\/p>\n
Its rubber-patterned grip ensures that you always have a firm grip on the controller, unlike some controllers that can get slippery in your hands. The Nacon Revolution X Pro controller shouldn’t have been covered in glossy black; no one wants a fingerprint magnet.<\/p>\n
If the controller itself wasn’t pleasant to use, then all the bells and whistles in the world would mean nothing. The Nacon Revolution X Pro controller is one of the best gamepads you can use. In the hands, it had a decent amount of weight, with the face buttons, bumpers, and triggers giving a satisfying amount of feedback without being too spongey or too clicky – a delicate balance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
