Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut by Sucker Punch is amazing. The Iki Island DLC not only adds PS5 features to the released game, but also fleshes out Jin Sakai’s backstory. It’s a relatively short DLC, but there’s an island to explore that seems half the size of the first Act of the original game. You should grow your character’s skills before you get to the DLC if you’re starting from scratch. Otherwise, DLC can be tough. Here’s what’s cool in the Director’s Cut. It takes advantage of the PS5’s DualSense controller. The horse’s galloping is synced with tiny haptic touches, like minute buzzes. You can also feel the draw of the bow with the adaptive triggers. Iki Island also adds new things you can do with the Grappling Hook, which showcase the triggers. Pulse3D headsets have 3D audio, and load times are zippy.<\/p>\n

The original game’s gameplay hasn’t changed. In Iki Island, you’ll face tougher enemies and make new friends to help you along the way. You’ll find new challenges and pet new animals. There are also new skills you can learn that you can bring back to Tsushima Island. You can finish the main storyline pretty quickly in the DLC. There’s also a new multiplayer mode for Legends, alternate controller layouts for left-handed players, a way to lock onto your enemies, and the ability to hide the bow and quiver. The game runs smooth as butter at 60fps in 4K. The lip-sync is fixed in the PS5 version if you prefer Japanese audio. Speaking Japanese won’t look weird anymore.
