Fans think Bellibolt was inspired by Politoed, a creature from the Pok\u00e9mon Gold and Silver demo, which looks like an electric frog. Bellibolt looks a lot like Politoed, the demo designed for Gold and Silver that was scrapped. Aside from being big, green frogs, both Pok\u00e9mon have the same face design. Politoed has nostrils, and Bellibolt has eyes, but they’re actually electricity sacks. The same big circle on their bellies, the same yellow circle in the middle, and the same orange knee pads.<\/p>\n

It’s unlikely that Bellibolt is based on Politoed from the Pok\u00e9mon Gold and Silver demo, but the similarities are undeniable. With its elastic body, Bellibolt generates electricity that’s stored in its belly button and blasted from its fake eyeballs.<\/p>\n
