With its hand-animated presentation, the Many Pieces of Mr. Coo is a strange point-and-click adventure game that gives a great first impression. Mr. Coo is chopped into three pieces in a surreal, Wonderland-esque world. He wanted only an apple.<\/span><\/p>\n

This game’s characters are hand-drawn and animated in a scrappy, yet pleasingly malleable style, while monsters and objects respond to the world in a way that looks amazing. The game is extremely well-designed, with detailed backgrounds and surreal environments. There are also some great musical flourishes in the short adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the game is very straightforward, with obvious things to click on to advance through chapters. There are, however, some puzzles in this game, and they can be obtuse in typical point-and-click fashion. Despite the absence of inventory, we came up with some scenarios that didn’t have any clear solution. There are some clever design elements in the latter half, especially when switching between Mr. Coo’s head and legs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Generally, the game should take you about two hours to complete. Once you’ve completed it, your pages will be scattered throughout each chapter, giving you something to collect when you repeat it.<\/span><\/p>\n

This game ends with a “To be continued…”, which is shocking — it’s a great first effort, but a sequel could provide more challenging puzzles.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that there are a few bugs, like the camera in the wrong place and a hard crash, the adventure is a great little adventure. If you’re looking for a unique point-and-click game with surreal visuals, an eerie atmosphere, and some interesting puzzles, this is a must-play. But we’re eager to see how it evolves in a sequel.<\/span><\/p>\n
