Spellcaster University is a game that’s similar to Hogwarts Legacy in the sense that it is set in a school where wizards and witches study and are trained. This time around, the only difference is that instead of taking on the role of one of the students at the university, you will take on the role of the director. The school can be built exactly the way the player wants it to be, and the school can be managed on a day-to-day basis just like other management simulation games, such as Two Point Hospital.<\/p>\n
It involves many things such as managing the school’s budget, recruiting teachers, and expanding the school in any way you see fit. Those who want to embrace the darker side of magic (as our very own features writer Jasmine Gould-Wilson did in Hogwarts Legacy), will also have the option of turning the school into a black magic academy, hiring teachers with specializations in necromancy and demonology, among other things.<\/p>\n

Specifically, players will be able to build their universities using an “original magic decks mechanism” which will allow each game to be quite unique in its own way. Basically, you will be able to choose from a variety of decks based on the magic that is taught at your school. For instance, if you have the Nature Deck, you are able to access magical creatures, if you have the Alchemy Deck, you can make potions faster, and if you have the Shadow Deck, you can “discipline” students who are being naughty.<\/p>\n
You’ll notice that if you head on over to Spellcaster University’s Steam page, you’ll discover that this title actually released all the way back in 2021. In early 2024, however, the magical management sim will be coming to consoles for the first time – including the PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X\/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. There will also be a physical edition of the game, as well as a deluxe edition, but this will only be limited to 300 copies per platform, so you’d better get in line if you want to get your hands on one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
