<\/p>\nThere has been a collaboration between Cult of the Lamb and Don’t Starve Together, two beloved indie games from their respective genres, which will include updates for both games that will be launched today.<\/p>\n

In spite of the fact that it may seem as if neither game requires an introduction, Cult of the Lamb is a highly acclaimed roguelike that was once compared to “Animal Crossing meets Hades,” and Don’t Starve Together is an excellent standalone multiplayer component to the also brilliant survival game Don’t Starve that was released in 2013. As a part of the latter’s 10th anniversary celebrations, publishers Devolver Digital and Klei Entertainment have joined forces to release crossover content for both Cult of the Lamb and Don’t Starve Together in a special release.<\/p>\n
There is a new follower to add to your cult as detailed in the new Cult of the Lamb patch notes: Webber, a playable character from Don’t Starve Together and the DLC for Don’t Starve: Reign of Giants. Furthermore, there are also new decorations for your base, such as Deerclops Figures and Pig Head Flags, as well as new music inspired by Don’t Starve. However, perhaps the most notable addition is a new game mode called Patience, which adds survival elements to the game.<\/p>\n
The Patience skill adds life bars for both Hunger and Sleep. When one of the bars reaches a certain point, a timer will appear, which deals damage every time it ticks down, eventually killing you when the countdown reaches zero. Naturally, the best way to avoid that is to keep track of your Hunger and Sleep levels while you are on crusade, as these levels will deplete even when you are on crusade.<\/p>\n

As of now, Don’t Starve Together’s update is live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will be available on Switch “very soon.” It adds new login rewards in the form of item skins inspired by Cult of the Lamb, including the Lamb, Lamb’s Blade, Flock’s Chest, and Lamb’s Reward. Then there is the Crown trinket, which you can find in Wet Pouches fished from the oasis lake and offer to the Antlion for some new blueprints if you have enough of them.<\/p>\n
The latest update to Don’t Starve Together looks a little thin compared to the latest update to Cult of the Lamb, but it’s still pretty cool to see two independent games with wildly different genres coming together like this – and as free updates, no less!
