<\/p>\nA Remnant 2 Engineer Archetype can be obtained by collecting an Alien Device in N’Erud, but finding it is a death sentence, in the sense that it requires the player to venture into the thick fog that encircles N’Erud and causes them to spill their guts. Nevertheless, it’s not a dangerous task and well worth it, since the Engineer Archetype enables you to conjure heavy weapons that can be deployed as static, automated turrets, or held manually. The secret Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2 can be unlocked by following these steps.<\/p>\n

In Remnant 2, you must first reach N’Erud (by rerolling your campaign, launching a new Adventure Mode, or just progressing normally), and then reach the second open area to get the Engineer. Remnant 2 generates its worlds randomly, so this could either be Eon Vault or Timeless Horizon. As soon as you reach one of these locations, you should do the following:<\/p>\n

Step 1. You need to explore the entire area (Timeless Horizon or Eon Vault) looking for a gap between the rock ledge to your left and the cluster of spires to your right. Even though these formations should be quite easy to spot, the random generation means they might appear pretty much anywhere, so finding them can take some time.<\/p>\n
Step 2. Go through the gap and into the fog. Despite vomiting profusely, keep going, bearing right, and you’ll see a ledge on which to leap.<\/p>\n

Step 3. Grab the Technician armor set off the dead body by jumping to the ledge. Getting this armor doesn’t unlock the Engineer Archetype, but it matches the aesthetic, so grab it if you want the full look.<\/p>\n
Step 4. You need to quickly jump down to the lower part of the area to your left and grab the glowing object in the dirt. You need this Alien Device. Your character will keel over and respawn back at the last checkpoint once the purple fog bar fills up.<\/p>\n

Step 5. Make your way back to Ward 13 and speak with Wallace.<\/p>\n
Step 6. Obtain the Drzyr Caliper from Wallace in exchange for the Alien Device, 10 Lumenite Shards, and 1,000 Scrap.<\/p>\n

With the Drzyr Caliper in your possession, you can open the Archetype menu, select one of your Archetype slots, and then equip the Engineer Archetype with the Drzyr Caliper Archetype Engram. Like any other Archetype, it can be leveled up by earning XP and unlocking Skills. It is possible to switch the Engineer in and out of your build, as with other Archetypes.<\/p>\n
