‘Arcane’, the acclaimed League of Legends animated series, is set to return to the airwaves late next year for its second season.
During the Video V Vision Conference organized by Tencent, the Chinese parent company of League of Legends, a release window of Q4 2024 was announced for the series. There is a lot of speculation on the game’s subreddit, which suggests that the game is likely to be released in November to coincide with the release of the first season of the game as well as its 15th anniversary event.
There will be a three-year wait for Arcane Season 2 as a result of this. Even though it’s been a long time since the first series of games was released, the game developer Riot has made it clear that despite the success of the first series, it won’t be rushing out a sequel. As of right now, we haven’t heard much about the second season, with a few faces from the first season confirming their returns, but other than that, things have been relatively quiet.
Arcane Season 2 will feature several more League of Legends characters, including Viktor and Heimerdinger, in addition to Vi, Caitlyn, Jinx, Jayce, and Ekko. All nine categories of the Annie Awards were won by the show, a critical smash-hit. Also, it won two Primetime Emmys for its animation, as well as The Game Award for Best Adaptation. In its launch month, it topped Netflix’s charts, and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a perfect score of 100%.
