Combat is one of the strongest aspects of the Atlas Fallen, as you probably already know. To beat the powerful foes in this action RPG, you need to use combos, dodges, and tactics to defeat them.
Due to this, it is also very important to get good armor for your character since enemies are no joke. It’s a pretty challenging game that reminds us of Dark Souls or Ghosts Tsushima, so you don’t want to go down in a few hits when you’re hit by an enemy monster. Learn about the best armor you can find in Atlas Fall by reading our article.
In Atlas Fallen, what is the best armor set?
Our recommendation for the best armor set in Atlas Fallen is not one, but three. Perennial Mantle, Queen’s Cover, and Rite of the Mire are three of them. It’s important to find the one that suits your playstyle because each has its own advantages and traits.
We have chosen three sets that have a base power level of 8 and can upgrade them to a maximum power level of 11. Since they have different stat allocations, you might prefer one over the other depending on your build and gameplay, so we’ll present all three and let you decide which is best for you.
Rite of the Mire
In The Black Alms area, you can acquire Rite of the Mire armor as part of a side quest called Ancient Armor. Before you can benefit from this set, you will need to find and collect the 3 set pieces scattered throughout the Swamp Ruins.
Upon entering Swamp Ruins, you can find the Tribal Trousers in a chest guarded by a Wraith east of the Anvil. You can find the Tribal Chest Piece south of the Anvil in a raisable chest protected by a Scatterer, while the Tribal Helmet can be found southwest of the Anvil.
When you have all the pieces, visit the Smith at the Knight’s Camp in Black Alms. Here are the armor’s base stats:
- Recovery: 40
- Offense: 73
- Defense: 39
- Fortune: 61
- Shatter: 45
In this armor set, you deal more damage to crystallized and slowed enemies.
Queen’s Cover
In the Black Alms, you can obtain Queen’s Cover from the vendor in Knight’s Camp. To purchase it, you will need 2500 Tributes. The following are its base stats:
- Recovery: 70
- Offense: 48
- Defense: 46
- Fortune: 52
- Shatter: 49
As a special trait of this armor set, your weapon can create a small crease when it hits, healing you for 5 seconds. The armor also gets bonus +9/12/15/19 stats for Fortune when you have 3 Momentum Essence Stones equipped in your Gauntlet and a bonus of +5/7/9/11 to Offense and Defense when equipping 2 Healing Essence Stones in the Gauntlet.
Perennial Mantle
Upon completing the City of the Sun main quest, you receive the Perennial Mantle armor set from the Odd Hunter. The armor stats are as follows:
- Recovery: 47
- Offense: 41
- Defense: 72
- Fortune: 42
- Shatter: 64
One of the unique characteristics of the Perennial Mantle armor is its ability to negate damage from one enemy attack. For its bonus stats, you can get +8/10/12/15 to Offense with 4 Damage Essence Stones equipped in your Gauntlet and +11/14/18/22 Shatter bonus with 2 Healing Essence Stones equipped in the Gauntlet.
In Atlas Fallen, how can you upgrade your armor?
By interacting with Anvils, you can upgrade all armor sets in Atlas Fallen. You’ll find anvils all over the map, and they’re almost always found in civilized areas like towns. In some cases, you will need to raise an Anvil before you can use it. Raise an Anvil by finding a spot on the ground with a blue mist, approaching it, and using the Raise Skill. Once you have the Anvil in front of you, you can interact with it to bring up the menu. Armor Upgrade is one of dozens of options you can choose from.
There are usually a couple of times when you can upgrade your armor sets, but in order to do this you will need plenty of Essence Dust. However, most enemies drop this mineral as loot, so it shouldn’t be too challenging. Destruction of Heavenly Shrines and completing smaller side quests are also ways to get it.
