Discovering Halsin’s Location in Baldur’s Gate 3

Locating the companion, Halsin, in Baldur’s Gate 3 proves to be a formidable task as he is a potent druid who has been seized by the Goblins of the Absolute and transported to the Shattered Sanctum, concealed in the deepest part of their encampment. Nonetheless, with the right knowledge, it is possible to locate him without causing excessive chaos. Below, we will provide guidance on how to find Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3 and explore the potential of having him as a companion.

Halsin’s Location in Baldur’s Gate 3

To discover Halsin’s whereabouts in Baldur’s Gate 3, players must undertake the following steps:

  • Start by heading to the Goblin Camp, which is situated west of Druid Grove and beyond the Blighted Village.
  • Make your way into the Shattered Sanctum, located beneath the Goblin Camp, where the Goblin Leaders are located. You have the option to sneak, engage in combat, or try to negotiate your way inside.
  • Once inside, proceed towards the central throne area, where Priestess Gut is waiting from there, head in the North-East direction.
  • Pass by the three “Sharp Eye” goblins and continue towards the door situated behind them.
  • Enter the Worg Pens, and make your way to the back of the area.
  • In the back, you’ll come across several cages, one of which contains HalsiHe has utilized his druid powers to Wild Shape, both to protect himself and to conceal his identity. You’ll recognize him as a caged bear, as he is being pestered by Goblin children throwing rocks at him.

The method of freeing Halsin, or whether you choose to free him at all, is entirely up to you. You have the option to attempt to kill the nearby goblins or persuade them to release the bear. However, there seems to be no non-violent approach to freeing Halsin, as he is angry and the goblins will turn hostile if they see you with their freed bear.

To optimally free Halsin, you can eliminate or incapacitate all the goblins in the Worg Pens without any of them escaping. This way, you can free him without alerting the entire camp and Shattered Sanctum. If you leave some of your companions at the door to handle any potential escapees, it might aid your efforts. Nevertheless, if you fail to achieve a non-hostile resolution, you’ll have to engage in battle to escape. Halsin’s bear form proves to be a powerful ally during such confrontations, greatly assisting your party.

Will Halsin be a Companion in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Regarding Halsin’s potential as a companion in Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios has confirmed that he will indeed be a possible member of your party.
