Here’s How to Choose or Import Your Hogwarts Legacy House and Wand

Choose Your Hogwarts Legacy House or Wand

You can choose what you want for your Hogwarts Legacy house sorting and wand. You can also link a Harry Potter fan club or Pottermore account to carry over any choices you have already made. At first, it appears that the decision will be made for you. However, once it is done you can change it to whatever you want or import the choices you previously selected.

Any pre-existing choices you made will be carried over, but you’ll have to link your existing accounts with the game. That’s relatively straightforward and involves connecting your Wizarding World and Warner Bros accounts with the game.

Hogwarts Legacy lets you choose your own house. Let’s take a look at how the house sorting and selection work in Hogwarts Legacy.

Choosing a Hogwarts House

To link an account to Hogwarts Legacy and import your information if you’ve already taken quizzes to select a house or wand, follow these steps:

  1. Login or sign up here to start: https://www.wizardingworld.com/legacyconnect
  2. Then login or sign up here: https://my.wizardingworld.com/login
  3. Next head here to link up your accounts: https://account.wbgames.com/connect/harry-potter-fc?code=63A7X8&entry=wizarding-world

After that, you’ll still reach the actual Hogwarts Legacy sorting ceremony about an hour or so into the game, but your existing choice will remain the same. Once you’ve answered the questions that would overly inform your choice, you can choose whatever you want.

How to Get Your Wand

When you receive the mission to ‘Meet Natty near Hogwarts’ 2 or 3 hours into the game, you’ll need a borrowed wand until then. As soon as you arrive in Hogsmeade, you’ll get your wand.

Your choice here is whatever you like. After borrowing a wand earlier, you’ll already be familiar with many Hogwarts Legacy Spells.

Items in the Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement or your Hogwarts Legacy broomsticks are tied to your story progress.

The game gives you the option of playing into the sorting fantasy, taking over any precious Harry Potter results from the past, or just picking what you want.
