Best Fish to Catch in Dave the Diver – Best Dishes

Swimming through the depths and finding a nice piece of fish for your restaurant can become an overwhelming job in Dave the Diver, especially with so many fish roaming about and an abundance of recipes that can be made.

As you know some fish are harder to catch than others, but on the other hand, those are usually the ones that are worth more money. If you want to get solid advice on which fish is worth struggling for to make some of the best dishes we’ve got a couple of suggestions for you. All you need to do is to dive into our article.

In Dave the Diver, what is the best fish to catch?

It would be an understatement to say that Dave the Diver is a pillar of the marine world. Everything you look at offers you the chance to find precious loot, items, and glorious fish. It is understandable that most players would prefer to optimize this process and not waste time on small fish, focusing instead on the big game that brings them a handsome profit.

See which fish we believe is the best to hunt in Dave the Diver based on our list.

Marlin

You can often find marlin around tuna and at depths of 20 to 50m (although sometimes you can encounter them even deeper). You should be ready to dodge followed by swift counterattacks when you decide to go for Marlin hunting because this is a fish that can hurt you for real. If you want to save as much meat as possible on your fishing trip, you shouldn’t go without an upgraded harpoon gun.

Each time you win with this top-tier fish, you have a reason to celebrate because its dishes are among the best in the game. Our recommendation is to make Marlin and Soybean Paste Roast, a dish that’s easy to prepare once you’ve got your main ingredient. The only thing you need after you buy the fish is garlic and miso!

Whitetip Reefshark

It is usually not necessary to dive deeper than 40m when hunting for Whitetip Reefshark. It shouldn’t take you long to find one if you swim between 30 and 40m deep. Sharks are fierce creatures, and when they battle Dave they remind me of bulls, as they charge and dash forward towards you before they attack you.

It might be predictable to fight this shark in bull-style, but be sure that there are no dangerous fish around to distract you. When you have to fight the big Whitetip Reefshark, the smaller fish that are normally an annoyance become a mortal threat. Dave died more than once after being attacked by a shark and (at least one) other smaller fish at the same time.

Whitetip Reefshark Head and Whitetip Reefshark Meat can be obtained once you’ve conquered the Whitetip Reefshark. Whole-Roasted Shark Head is the dish we recommend. The Whitetip Reefshark head and olive oil are the only ingredients required to make this dish if you’ve completed Chapter 1 of the game. If you dive around the ocean floor and loot it, you can easily find olive oil.

Moray Eel

Moray eels are shy fish that are best hunted at night on the surface of water. Without killing the fish right away, you’ll have a lot of trouble. As you pass by or fight other fish, you can find a Moray Eel poking out of a rock. You must hunt this fish in the later stages of the game when you have more experience and stronger weapons and traps available. Its thin body makes it easy to miss a shot with a harpoon or gun.

You can make Moray Eel Curry with Moray Eel. One piece of turmeric and two pieces of Moray Eel meat are required. Bringing more Moray Eels to the surface at one time is recommended (if your ammo allows it) for this tasty and profitable dish.

White Spotted Jellyfish

When you want to take jellyfish out of the water and place them in a pot (and who wouldn’t?! ), they are fun but potentially dangerous. You will find jellyfish closer to the surface and near the Limestone Cave if you look for them close to the surface. It’s not all fun and games when it comes to catching these creatures (see what I did there?). Guns and harpoons cannot harm them, so they must be captured alive instead. When you use the Tranquilizer, either the Hush Dart, Net Gun, or Rifle will put the Jellyfish to sleep, catch it in a net, or anesthetize it long enough for you to grab it.

Seagrapes Jellyfish Sushi is a quick and efficient dish you can make with White Spotted Jellyfish. This dish contains 1x White Spotted Jellyfish, 1x Salt, and 1x Sea Grape. You can find salt in many places, like underwater pots, while Sea Grapes can be found in the same limestone cave where you’ll find jellyfish.

Tuna

In Dave the Diver, tuna is probably one of the best fish to catch and sell for a profit. You can sell dishes made from this fish for a nice profit because it swims around in groups of five, its meat is of high quality, and it likes to swim around in groups of five. As soon as you notice a tuna swimming near the surface, moving fast, and having a particular route, you’ll know where they are swimming. Passing by them should be avoided if you don’t want to get damaged. Setting a net trap along their route is the best way to catch a Tuna. It will take a few fish for the salvage drone to reach the group, after which one fish will be caught. This way, you were not only able to catch this quick and troublesome fish, but you were able to preserve the high quality of its meat as well.

Bluefin Tuna Ootara is the quickest dish you can make with tuna. You only need tuna meat for this dish that has awesome taste stats. Your fish farm can become a stable source of income if you can get Tuna on board.

Now that you have the right advice, good luck fishing!
