How to Complete Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 2 – Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough

Obviously, I’ve never flown on a Broom, so I don’t really know what goes into its proper handling. But if I were to make an educated guess, I’d say it’s probably not dissimilar to riding a bike, and the only way to get good at riding a bike is to do it a lot. If you need more Broom practice, then here’s how to complete Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 2 in Hogwarts Legacy.

After you’ve completed the first set of tasks for Madam Kogawa, the Flying instructor at Hogwarts, she’ll have another set ready for you. This second assignment will have you practice your flying in some slightly more precarious areas (though of course not precarious enough to get her in trouble with the school).

Much like in Madam Kogawa’s first assignment, your goal here will be to fly to the designated areas atop your Broom and seek out the blue, yellow-starred balloons she’s strewn about. You can pop these balloons by either flying directly into them or casting spells with your wand, whichever you find easier.

Finding Madam Kogawa’s Balloons

The first batch of balloons can be found near the Spires, the mountainous area located southwest of Hogwarts proper. Since these balloons aren’t in a developed area, there are fewer landmarks to get your bearings, but as long as you keep your eyes peeled for the balloons’ stars, you should find them. If you fly up from the bottom of the area, you should find your first balloon right next to the quest waypoint. From there, head east to find the second, and slightly northeast past the boosts to find the third. Return to the waypoint and head west, and you should see the fourth and fifth balloons close to each other near the boosts.

The second batch of balloons can be found near Keenbridge Tower. These are much easier to pop, as they’re all in more or less a single line. Starting about 200 feet west from the quest waypoint, you should see your first balloon above the Tower proper. Follow the path of boosts eastward to find the remaining balloons.

Once all the balloons have been popped, return to Madam Kogawa to report your success. As a reward, she’ll teach you the motion for the charm Arresto Momentum. Great for stopping stuff from falling when you accidentally knock it off the shelf.
