Fortnite’s Shield Bubble Protects You
Due to its large protective dome, the Fortnite Shield Bubble is an ideal item to have in a battle royale. By protecting those inside the dome from incoming attacks, you can heal up and prepare for your next move without the risk of getting sniped or otherwise blasted out of nowhere. Although Fortnite’s Shield Bubble isn’t subtle, it works.
Several brief appearances of this item have been made in Fortnite in recent months if you are familiar with it. In Season 2, the Fortnite Shield Bubble appeared briefly during Shadow of Phantasm Week after a long spell in the vault for the entire Chapter 2 but lost out to Balloons, which were brought back instead. We still don’t know for how long Fortnite’s Shield Bubble will be available, so here’s everything we know so far.
Fortnite Shield Bubble Location
The Fortnite Shield Bubble has returned from the vault to enter the standard pool of items, meaning it can appear anywhere on the island. Check out any piles of floor loot you see and look for an orb with the shield logo. Search as many chests and supply drops as possible in Fortnite, then stack them in twos to increase your chances of finding a Shield Bubble.
Fornite Shield Bubble Use
When you equip the Fortnite Shield Bubble, you can aim and toss it, creating a protective dome. As well as gravity, this Shield Bubble will drop if its original surface is destroyed. It can be destroyed earlier if you attack the item engulfing the dome from the center.
Whenever you are inside the Fortnite Shield Bubble, bullets and projectiles cannot pass through. The goo will stick to the dome and blast it instead when someone shoots you with the Fortnite Explosive Goo Gun. This property works both ways, so you can’t hit outside the dome if you’re inside. Also, opponents can’t pass through the Shield Bubble to get inside you. As long as they get inside with you, you have no additional protection.
