Glitch Busters: Stuck on You (PS4) – Co-Op Platforming Shooter

In Glitch Busters: Stuck on You, you play four AI Tubers in an emoji-faced futuristic world. They are removing Badface’s glitches and bugs from Interland to restore YohTube to its former glory.

Featuring a variety of environments to explore, such as a fiery volcano and a cyber cityscape, Glitch Busters allows you to switch between jelly beans on the fly to push buttons.

Getting the AI beans to follow commands takes a long time, and sometimes they get stuck on the environment. Furthermore, the friendly AI does not let you complete the game by yourself. When they fall, they take damage, get stuck, or just get stuck. You don’t feel threatened until a dozen enemies are faced at once – the AI is very basic.

Each stage requires you to compete with your fellow Skittles for Likes, collectible coins scattered throughout the map. In the shop, you can buy new weapons, weapons, and pick-ups with the money. There are several instances where this isn’t possible until you earn enough Likes to unlock enemies. It happens several times throughout the four to six hour campaign.

In Glitch Busters, the bright, cartoony visual style leaves a lot to be desired. In spite of being in a 3D world, the models seem very two-dimensional; it’s jarring. Sound is also irritating, especially when characters talk, so we turned it off. With its constant loop of chanting music making navigation clunky and sluggish even more frustrating.

There are some enjoyable boss fights and vehicle-based levels in Glitch Busters, but the poor presentation and basic AI make it hard to play with friends. The rest of the game isn’t worth it without a buddy by your side.

Pros:

  • Gameplay you’ll enjoy.

  • Fighting bosses.

  • Co-op for 1-4 players.

Cons:

  • Response time is slow.

  • Presenting badly.

  • The soundtrack is irritating.

  • Senseless AI.

  • Story that’s cringeworthy.

Overall, I’d give this game a 4.
