Demeo (PSVR2): Dungeons and Dragons on the verge of perfection

A one-to-four-player turn-based dungeon crawler for PS5 and PSVR2, Demo is significantly better in PSVR2. On the way to the dungeon boss, you use card abilities and dice to kill monsters on three floors. It features seven classes (Guardian, Warlock, Sorcerer, Assassin, Hunter, Barbarian, and Bard).

Demeo has five campaigns with unique locations, enemies, and bosses that last 90 minutes to 3 hours. You can play Demeo in VR to see just how detailed the figures and environments are. The ash particles spew out from fire, poison bubbles flow from trees, and leaves float gracefully.

With Demeo, you and your friends work together to deal damage, buff each other, and heal each other. PSVR2 players will have no problem joining an experienced group as Demeo is crossplay with PCVR headsets, where there is already a large, dedicated player base. By using the built-in chat, players can get tips, tricks, and strategies from the community.

As a result of PSVR2’s new features, Resolution Games did well. The headset’s haptic feedback is activated for a short period when you are damaged and extended when you’re downed. In addition to adding varying weights to each piece, the team also used PSVR2 Sense Controllers.

In VR, you can tilt and rotate the table to find the best viewing angle and won’t get a sore neck from leaning over a table for too long.

Whether you’re playing with friends or alone, you’ll have a blast. Heroes Hangout is inexplicably absent from this version of Demeo. It’s easy to pick up but hard to master. There are a lot of features to this tabletop title, including a fun and strategic gameplay loop, impressive visuals, and excellent virtual reality integration.

Pros:

  • Plays well with others.

  • Figures and environments.

  • Play loop with fun and strategy.

  • A lot of replayability.

  • Controls mapped brilliantly.

  • Dedicated community.

  • PSVR2 Sense Controllers are used well.

Cons:

  • Heroes Hangout missed.

  • No advanced tutorials.

Nine out of ten for me.
