As the last soldier in the Bunker, maybe luck is on your side. A bit of hope is offered by being able to acquire essential tools to aid in your survival after losing your comrades. This ordeal must be survived by someone, so let it be you. The Gas Mask is an item you can get early in the game that prevents deadly chemicals from entering Henri’s lungs and causing damage that requires healing. When you find many Gas Grenades, you can put them to good use using the Gas Mask. The Beast can be tricked with them or the Rats can be cleared out so that Dog Tags can be stolen or gotten past. In Amnesia: The Bunker, you can find the Gas Mask
As soon as you begin playing, you’ll find the Gas Mask. Although I personally didn’t find it very useful for anything requiring you to bypass Rats, it is an excellent tool to have. In addition, frag grenades, shotgun bullets, and revolver bullets can be used to deal damage to the Beast. First, make sure the Emergency Valve has been obtained and that Lockdown has been lifted. The map will be opened up to four different areas once the lift is lifted. Maintenance is the area you need.
As I have played through the game multiple times, I’ve noticed that Laval’s Dog Tag moves depending on what you do first. There is a spawn inside Foreman’s Quarters that appears only when the Break Room has been entered. If you visit Foreman’s Quarters, you will find the other spawn in the Break Room. Boucher’s Dog Tag will be given to you if you visit it first, while Laval’s will be given to you if you visit it second. The Special Wrench must therefore be obtained from Stafford. When you turn right from the Clerk’s Office (Rats Keep Out door), you will see Boucher’s Dog Tag on the desk in the Foreman’s Quarters. On the corpse inside, there is a Dog Tag. In order to pick up the Tag, you must first get rid of the Rats. Flares, Gas Grenades, or Frag Grenades can be used early on if you get this. Exit the room and turn left if you attract the Beast by producing too much noise. By jumping over the booby-trap halfway down the corridor, you can avoid the booby-trap halfway and enter the closet at the dead end.
Laval’s Dog Tag can be found in either the Break Room or Foreman’s Quarters, regardless of the order you try to get the Gas Mask. Rotate to obtain the Tag for the code and return to Mission Storage to unlock his Locker and obtain the Gas Mask. Gas Masks require a specific key to be used, R3 is needed for controller players. First-time players may find it easier to get used to all of the different items and keys/buttons if they have in-game hints on so they know which buttons to use. Perhaps that’s just a problem with me.
Your vision will be obscured by the Gas Mask. As a result, it should only be used when passing through a gas cloud, and then removed once the air is clear.
