A glider wing and the Ultrahand power are required to solve the puzzle at Runakit Shrine in TOTK.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom’s Runakit Shrine is a difficult puzzle that requires Ultrahand to move a metal ball across various metal rails to the receiver using Ultrahand. Although it is easier said than done, many have struggled to obtain the Light of Blessing from the Runakit Shrine.
In light of this, we will provide a detailed guide in the following section. It is more of a series of puzzles to solve individually rather than a single challenge at Runakit Shrine, although you are required to move the ball over the gap each time, something you have probably become accustomed to in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Nevertheless, the following guide to the Runakit Shrine puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will assist those who wish to receive assistance.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to defeat the Runakit Shrine
On your map, you will find the Runakit Shrine directly east of Hyrule Castle near the top of the Hyrule Ridge region:
As you enter Runakit Shrine, pay attention to the concave dish on your left. In order to gain access to the innermost chamber, you must move the large metal ball from one side of the chamber to the other. To remove the ball from its pedestal, use your Zelda Tears of the Kingdom glider to get across the large gap between yourself and the side of the room where it is located. By this point in the game, you should be familiar with your Ultrahand ability in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, so simply place the ball on the metal railings nearby and roll it down to the next platform.
The next set of railings are too wide to roll the ball down a second time. As an alternative, you will have to connect the ball to the rods nearby, making sure that all four rods are connected end to end so that they can rest on top of the wide railings and serve as an anchor. In the event that you do not use all four rods, the ball might get derailed, fall into the abyss, and respawn on its pedestal. Upon reaching the other side of the railings, glide across and detach the ball from the poles.
The next part of the Runakit Shrine is a bit trickier, as the last railing consists of a single track instead of two. Immediately adjacent to the railing is a stone structure that resembles two stone slabs joined together in an L-shape to form a triangular tip. You will be able to get the ball from one side of the chasm to the other by following the following steps:
1. Take the detached ball and attach it to one single rod, carried down from the previous platform.
2. With the ball attached, stick the rod to one edge of the stone triangle.
3. Look around the platform for a flat piece of stone and connect it to the other edge of the triangle, forming a T-shape.
4. Pick the whole thing up and rest it over the railing, with the crux of the L-shaped stones in the middle.
Gravity will carry the ball down to the end of the tracks, since the flat piece of stone you’ve attached to one edge of the triangle will act as a barrier to prevent it from slipping off the railing. Now you can glide over to the ball, detach and lift it into the key slot with Ultrahand, and solve the Runakit Shrine puzzle.
