It’s wise to always be prepared for Hinox since he will spawn in many locations in Tears of the Kingdom. Because he is a tough enemy to defeat, he brings with him wonderful loot, such as weapons and food. You should always challenge him when you see him for this reason.

How to beat Hinox in TotK: Tips and Tricks
It’s best not to miss fighting Hinox since he brings some excellent loot in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). In addition, if you don’t have the necessary equipment, you shouldn’t fight him.
In order to kill Hinox, you will need a few common yet essential items. Due to his tankiness, you will spend at least half a dozen weapons on him. To defeat him, you will also need a bow and plenty of arrows.
Hinox Killing Strategy
Hinox is a cyclops, which means he has only one eye. When you start fighting him, shoot an arrow into his eye with your bow. This will blind and stun him for a few seconds, allowing you to approach him and strike him with your melee weapon. Don’t be greedy, though. You should strike him a couple of times and run away since he will recover pretty quickly and if he gets to strike you, your fall will be swift.
Hit him in the eye with an arrow, then attack him with melee weapons until he is dead. You must, however, aim and shoot quickly at his eye. Whenever you aim at his eye for too long, he will cover it with his hand.
This quest reminded me of the Greek myth of Odysseus. In order to escape his captivity, he blinded the great cyclops Polyphemus with a burning stake. In creating this particular combat experience, perhaps the developers of Zelda were inspired by this great story from Greek mythology.
Here are some additional tips for fighting Hinox
This tactic will always work against Hinox in TotK, but I thought it was necessary to add a few specifics that can make this battle easier or harder. Hinox can grab a tree and throw it at you if you encounter him in a forest.
As you wander the open world of TotK at night, you will encounter his counterpart – Stalnox. In terms of fighting Stalnox, most of the things are the same as fighting Hinox. However, he will have a few aces up his sleeve as well. He will attack you with a rib, for example, if there isn’t a tree nearby.
Occasionally, you will even see his eye pop out when you hit him with an arrow. Pick it up and hold it in your possession until morning. Stalnox will automatically die at that moment.
