There have been a lot of changes to the Xbox dashboard over the years. With its cluttered interface and background-blocking tiles, the Xbox Series X|S dashboard always lagged behind. Xbox Insiders got a new dashboard for the Xbox Series X|S, which seems to fix these problems. At last!
How Does the Xbox Insider Dashboard Work?

Microsoft has released a new dashboard for Xbox Series X and S based on long-standing feedback from Xbox Insider users. The new Xbox Series X|S dashboard fixes some problems highlighted in previous iterations, although there are still some issues. The home screen is crowded and the background isn’t visible.
According to Xbox Wire, the new Xbox Series dashboard should improve the user experience on Xbox Series X|S. The new dashboard looks great, but what’s new?
Here’s What’s New on the Xbox Series X|S Dashboard

It’s all about providing a cleaner look and better navigation on Xbox Series X|S dashboards for Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Ring members. This is what’s going to change on your Xbox Series X|S dashboard:
- Your Xbox Home screen now has a quick-access menu at the top.
- Keeping the dashboard layout simple by lowering some tiles to the bottom and reducing their size.
- We’re adding a responsive game art feature so your background art stays visible even as you highlight or select tiles.
Additionally, notifications will be added to the My Games & Apps tile so you’ll know when something new is released.
Is There Going to Be a New Xbox Dashboard Soon?

Navigation has been prioritized and clutter has been removed from the Xbox Series X|S dashboard. The Xbox Insider program is the only way to access the dashboard right now, and Microsoft hasn’t said when it will become available to the general public.
Even though everyone can join Xbox Insider at any time, the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha rings that are required for the new dashboard are invite-only, though Xbox Wire says anyone can request an invitation. As time goes on, more people will be able to use the new Xbox Series X|S dashboard. Before it’s released, we’ll see more changes.
