Sonic Mania is a big retro love letter to old-school Sonic games, so there are a number of cheats you can use. Throughout this guide, we will explain how to use cheat codes and what they do.

Cheats For Sonic Mania – Their Effects And How To Enter Them

Sonic Mania cheat codes are explained below, along with a list of all the cheats. Are Sonic Mania trophies disabled by cheats? Currently, Sonic Mania does not allow you to unlock trophies with cheat codes. This is due to the fact that Debug Mode disables trophy unlocking when entered with cheat codes.

Cheat Codes List

If you want to enter cheats into Sonic Mania, you’ll need to follow a few steps. You must first go to the secret Level Select screen. To do this, activate Debug Mode in Mania Mode. Highlight the No Save option, press Square, and X to finish.

As you scroll down the Level Select screen, you’ll find the sound test. To activate cheat codes, you’ll need to sound certain sounds in sequence. If you’re successful, a chime will sound. So far, Sonic Mania cheat codes have been discovered as follows:

  • Max Control For Sonic

Do you want to combine the Drop Dash, Super Peel Out, and Insta-Shield moves? Of course, you do.

  • Ricky Mania (All Animals Are Squirrels)

Not much of a cheat, this one, but it enables one of the biggest cheats in the game.

To unlock all the medals for the Blue Sphere bonus stages, use the above cheat code. Enter the following code, and you’ll unlock lots of other content.
