Baldur’s Gate 3 Multiplayer Guide

While not entirely bug-free at the time of writing, Baldur’s Gate 3 multiplayer and coop mode is relatively seamless. There is multiplayer co-operative gameplay in Baldur’s Gate 3, allowing you to adventure with your friends and have them join the online party, because Dungeons and Dragons wouldn’t be what it is without multiple bad ideas bouncing off one another. Detailed information about Baldur’s Gate 3 multiplayer can be found in our guide below.

Baldur’s Gate 3 makes multiplayer with friends relatively easy. You can select “Multiplayer” from the main menu, where you can either join another player’s game or create your own game and lobby that others can join. The game now allows random players to join in, rather than only friends.

If the host allows it, players can also join a single-player game in progress. You can invite friends and assign different characters and party members to different people by pausing the game and selecting “Session” from the pause menu. All Baldur’s Gate 3 classes can be customized based on your preferences, which is good.

Multiple Player: How Does It Work?

Despite being early access, multiplayer is still pretty buggy, but things should improve as we approach and pass the final release. As Baldur’s Gate 3 moves to more platforms, cross-play will also be available.
