8 Minecraft Dungeons Tips to Remember on Your Journey

Tips and Strategies for Minecraft Dungeons

With Minecraft Dungeons tips in hand, you can get to grips with this dungeon crawler, especially since its gameplay differs considerably from the original sandbox. There may be a lot of similarities in appearance, and all of your ‘favorite’ mobs such as Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, and Spiders are present in almost every stage, but if you want to finish all of these levels successfully – particularly on the higher difficulty levels – you’ll need a fresh set of tactics. You’re ready for a new adventure? Take a look at our top Minecraft Dungeons tips if you’re ready for it.

1. Get Better Loot by Exploring Beyond Objectives

There is no doubt that hidden loot can be found absolutely anywhere in Minecraft Dungeons thanks to its randomly generated levels. The objective will always be indicated by a waypoint marker, but explore all possible routes before heading towards it to find secrets and extra chests. For XP, you can find hidden chests, loot, and more enemies to kill.

2. If You Choose a Higher Difficulty, You Will Get More Loot

Minecraft Dungeons is one of those games where “Play on a harder difficulty!” is a good tip. There are six difficulty levels in each mission, and the game will show you both your power level and the difficulty multiplier for each mission. You will still be able to get some better loot if you aim for a difficulty level of 1.5x, especially at the beginning of the game. Not to mention more experience if you aim for that. You will find the game gets more difficult as you progress, so if you want to pass the final missions, lower the difficulty.

3. You Can Reclaim Enchantment Points, so Use Them Freely

You will receive one enchantment point for every level you reach. You can use these to enhance your gear, but don’t save them for your best gear; if you salvage an item, you’ll receive Emeralds as well as any enchantment points applied to it in return.

4. Kill Enchanters and Geomancers First in Combat

Enchanters and Geomancers are especially frustrating mobs to battle as you progress. The latter wears robes and can enchant other mobs, making them much stronger. Thankfully, the Enchanter itself is somewhat weak, so a well-placed arrow can see them off, even if you have to dash past other enemies to get to it.

Geomancers, on the other hand, can be a real pain in the bottom since they raise pillars from the ground frequently and back away from you at the same time. In addition to obstructing your path, these pillars can explode after a few seconds, doing damage similar to a Creeper blast. Try to get to these guys as soon as possible or you’ll be in trouble.

5. Look for Chests With Emeralds After Each Mission

When you complete a mission, a chest will spawn somewhere in your Minecraft Dungeons camp. You’ll receive 50 Emeralds when you open it!

6. Look For Hidden Land Beyond the Boundaries on the Map

The level may appear to have a border, but there will be no obvious way to get to it. You can reach it by rolling across, which doubles as a small jump. And don’t worry if you fall, you’ll respawn nearby with only a small amount of health lost.

7. Blast Radius Saves TNT for Big Groups of Enemies

It is absolutely devastating that you cannot use your bow when picking up a TNT blast radius. The smart thing to do if one drops in the middle of a battle is to take out all the enemies first, then pick it up and carry it with you until you come up against a huge horde. You’ll be limited to melee attacks while carrying it! You can do serious damage by lobbying it toward mobs.

8. Replay Levels Until You Find All Loot

Your preview screen will show you the gear and artifacts you’ve already discovered in each level before you jump into it. There’s a good chance that you won’t have enough time to finish the whole game on your first attempt, so you’ll have to play some levels again.
