Here Is How You Can Invite Friends to Minecraft Dungeons

Invite Friends to Play Minecraft Dungeons Online

When you know how to invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons, you can create a squad with up to three buddies and take on daring adventure missions together. There is no denying that anything Minecraft related is always more fun when done with friends. Having one or more partners by your side can also make things considerably easier since you won’t have to battle hordes of enemies or tough bosses on your own. Getting a group of friends together to play Minecraft Dungeons sounds like fun, so here’s how.

Adding Friends to Minecraft Dungeons

To invite friends to Minecraft Dungeons, go to the main menu – aka the hero selection screen – and follow the prompt in the bottom left corner to set your session to Online. When you select Play Online, you’ll see a list of any Game Sessions already running that you can join, along with a list of friends you can invite.

When no one is around, you can choose to start an online game on your own. You can also make it a private game if you don’t want anyone joining without an invitation. After entering Minecraft Dungeons, you can follow the Friends prompt in the top right corner of the screen to bring up the same online menu again, where you can invite friends or join another session. The Friends menu is only accessible in-game if you’ve started an Online Game from the main menu. If you choose an offline game instead, then you’ll only see local multiplayer options.

If you haven’t completed the tutorial mission and have reached the Minecraft Dungeons camp for the first time, then you may need to play through it in order to receive invites from friends. Some players have reported problems when trying to invite friends. It’s definitely worth your time to go through the tutorial, which doesn’t take long and will give you a good overview of the game. You should also bear in mind that cross-platform play is enabled by default, which could make it difficult for friends to find your session if you’re on the same system, so you might want to turn off the cross-platform play option in the Settings menu if you have trouble connecting with friends on a matching platform.
