Guide for Pokemon GO’s Team Rocket Takeover: Start Time and Tips for Catching Shiny Pawniard

The event called “Team Go Rocket Takeover” has commenced, and for a limited time, trainers will come across the infamous evil team throughout Pokemon Go. Simultaneously occurring with the “Pokemon Go Greedy Gluttons” event, the Team Go Rocket Takeover offers trainers multiple opportunities to battle against grunts, leaders, and even the notorious Giovanni. Overcoming these opponents not only grants trainers encounters with potent Shadow Pokemon, but also introduces some never-before-seen Shadow Pokemon.

Moreover, trainers can also capture a new Shiny Pokemon during the event, and many other exciting things are in store. In case trainers require assistance navigating through the various activities of the Team Go Rocket Takeover, they can access a guide that provides tips on how to make the most of their time during the event.

Pokemon GO Team Rocket Takeover Start Time

The Team Go Rocket takeover event will begin Monday, November 14 from 12 a.m. to Thursday, November 17 at 8 p.m. local time.

How to Catch Shiny Pawniard in Pokemon Go

Although trainers will encounter the same wild Pokemon and Raid Pokemon as during the Greedy Gluttons event, they will have the opportunity to hatch exclusive Dark and Poison-type Pokemon from 12km Eggs, including the Shiny Pawniard, which is making its debut.

To obtain these 12km Eggs, trainers must defeat a Team Go Rocket Leader. Though these Eggs take time to hatch, they contain rare Pokemon that trainers cannot find anywhere else, including Pawniard.

Getting a Shiny Pawniard is no easy feat. Trainers must hatch as many 12km Eggs as possible during the event and stock up on them before the event ends to increase their chances of obtaining a Shiny Pawniard.

In addition, trainers can purchase more Incubators from the in-game shop. The regular Incubator can be bought for 150 PokeCoins, while a Super Incubator, which reduces the hatch distance by half, can be obtained for 200 PokeCoins.

Team Go Rocket Takeover Field Research

Throughout the event, trainers can obtain one Field Research task from PokeStops. If trainers defeat two Team Go Rocket Grunts, they will receive a Mysterious Component that enables them to battle the Rocket Leaders.

Additionally, a unique research story will become available at the start of the event. By completing specific tasks, trainers can acquire items, experience points, and strategies to more easily defeat the Rocket Leaders, including Giovanni.

New Shadow Pokemon and Rocket Leader Teams

Team Go Rocket has transformed additional Pokemon into Shadow Pokemon. Additionally, the Rocket Leaders have updated their teams, offering trainers the chance to catch different Pokemon. It’s important to note that the initial Pokemon that Leaders deploy will be the ones trainers can rescue and catch.

Moreover, trainers can capture a Shadow Mewtwo by defeating Giovanni.
