A unique strategy game, Evil Genius 2: World Domination combines traditional tycoon gameplay with tactics. As one of four cat-stroking wrongdoers, your job is to build an underground empire that will make the world bow to your reprehensible plans when executed properly. You can upgrade vanilla minions into nefarious thugs, and secure your gold paddocks in fortified vaults.
During your journey, you’ll add scientists and technicians to your team, along with distractions, such as a casino, that will distract super-agents. Additionally, you’ll be able to take global territory, sending ne’er-do-wells around the world to commit bank robberies and convert rival henchmen to your side to build a Doomsday Device that will provide you with ultimate power.
The animation injects a lot of personality into every room of your base, making the game fun to watch even though a lot of the action occurs off-screen. When your lair is built, you will find yourself twitching your thumbs while meters fill up. Campaigns could have been condensed a little more, resulting in shorter but more entertaining games.
As a tycoon-turned-strategies game, it features some entertaining voiceover work, melodramatic, James Bond-esque music, and entertaining voiceovers. Being bad has never felt so good. It has some entertaining voiceover work and some melodramatic, James Bond-esque music.
