The upcoming Pokemon Go Astral Eclipse Event will enable trainers to evolve their Cosmogs into their ultimate evolutions, allowing them to use them as Lunala or Solgaleo in battles. This has been a long-awaited moment for many trainers who have been carrying these Legendary Pokemon for several months. Besides this, the event promises to offer more exciting features, such as a higher frequency of encounters with sun and moon-themed Pokemon in the wild and raids.
To get a better understanding of the Astral Eclipse event in Pokemon Go, this guide covers all the essential details.

How to Get Solgaleo and Lunala in Pokemon Go
Let’s begin with the most notable update to Pokemon Go during the Astral Eclipse event, which allows trainers to add Solgaleo or Lunala to their Pokedex. To obtain these Pokemon, trainers must first evolve Cosmog, which can be obtained by finishing the research storyline at the start of the Season of Light. By using 25 Candy, Cosmog can evolve into Cosmoem, and then an additional 100 Cosmog Candy is needed to evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala.
To get Solgaleo, trainers need to evolve Cosmoem during the daytime, while for Lunala, it should be evolved during the evening. Solgaleo is a Steel and Psychic-type Pokemon, with Fast Attack options including Zen Headbutt and Fire Spin. It also has several Charged Attack options, such as Iron Head, Psychic Fangs, Solar Beam, and Flamethrower.

Lunala, on the other hand, is a Pokemon that belongs to both the Ghost and Psychic types. Its Fast Attack moves include Confusion and Air Slash, while its Charged Attacks consist of Shadow Ball, Psychic, Moonblast, and Future Sight.
