During the Golden Apple Archipelago event, one of the trickiest puzzles is the Genshin Impact Broken Isle. Those three Precious Chests seem utterly out of reach unless you know where to look and what to unlock. The blueprint for the Serenitea Pot that is only available during the Allegro Bloom Special Tuning event is in one of them, which is unfortunate.
Have no fear; you will receive that golden flower. We’ll walk you through every step of the procedure, from lighting the torches to unlatching the Precious Chest door, in this Genshin Impact Broken Isle puzzle tutorial.

How to Unlock the Broken Isle Puzzle
In a subterranean grotto, the Broken Isle puzzle is stashed. To unlock it, you must first finish a significant portion of the Blazin’ Trails quest, which is a requirement for the Stirring Strings challenge on The Island. An entirely new Genshin Impact Phantasmal Conch location will at some point during the mission appear on your mini-map.
Although this essentially reveals the puzzle’s location, avoid going there just yet because the majority of the Broken Isle puzzle is still locked. You can enter the cave and solve the first torch problem after completing the second “clear the veins” objective, but you still won’t be able to get the Precious Chests.
We suggest finishing the entire Blazin’ Trails quest before visiting the puzzle site to make things easier. After completing that, enter the cave in the island’s northwest corner as depicted in the illustration. Not to mention, your squad needs a Pyro character.
Genshin Impact Broken Isle Torches Puzzle
Lighting the four neighbouring torches and then turning on the Pyro mechanism in the centre are the only two simple steps required to solve the Broken Isle problem. Cross the pool once the water level has been lowered to locate the second torch problem. This one is a little tougher:
- Torch one: next to the pool you just crossed, on a small ledge.
- Torch two: right next to the Pyro mechanism, can’t miss it.
- Torch three: next to the wooden staircase, on the left side. It’s easy to overlook.
- Torch four: go up the wooden stairs, then through the magic doorway. The torch will be right in front of you on the other side.
Then go back through the magical door and turn on the second Pyro mechanism. Once more, the water is at a lower level, allowing you to take the Phantasmal Conch: Central Camp Image II.
Genshin Impact Broken Isle Three Precious Chests Puzzle
A shut door and three Precious Chests are the last two pieces of the Broken Isle puzzle. They are already visible at the bottom of the lower tunnel. Sadly, there are big roots blocking the door. The following is how to get rid of them:
- Teleport back to The Island’s Stirring Strings Domain entrance. Use the drum to “change the mountain style” (see picture). The mountain on top of the Broken Isle puzzle should now be much higher. Remember: you can only do this after completing the full Blazin’ Trails quest.
- Teleport to the eastern Broken Isle peak, and enter another cave entrance on the southwest side of the mountain’s base (marked with a red cross in the picture). Use the magic door inside to teleport back to the Broken Isle puzzle location.
- To solve the Melodic Blooms puzzle, just turn the Bloom in the middle (between the Melodic Harp and the sealed door) once. Then fire the Harp.
That should do the trick. You just solved the Genshin Impact Broken Isle puzzle, so it’s time to loot those well-earned Precious Chests!
