Find out how you can get the Room of Requirement for Hogwarts Legacy and get your studies on track.
Outside of all the ancient magic and goblin drama at Hogwarts, you can catch up and focus on your studies in the Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement. However, it’s not available at the start of the game, so you have to wait several hours until you reach a specific point in the main story.
Many of the game’s features are locked behind working your way through the story and reaching certain quests within the campaign in order to get your Hogwarts Legacy broom as well as all of the Hogwarts Legacy spells. In Hogwarts Legacy, you won’t have to stumble about in the dark too much because quests will always indicate the rewards when you complete them.
Where to find the Room of Requirement
You can only find the Room of Requirement quest after you’ve helped Richard Jackdaw in a quest called Tomes and Tribulations. Then you’ll get access to Flying Classes and unlock your Hogwarts Legacy broom, along with your Room of Requirement. It’s only a few hours, so look for Jackdaw’s quest as a sign you’re getting close.
A guide to using the Room of Requirement
As a prerequisite for receiving the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy, you must complete the quest titled “The Room of Requirement”.
There are three spells you will be able to use only within the Room of Requirement (Evanesco, the Conjuring Spell, and the Altering Spell) that Professors Weasley and Deek will teach you. You will be able to make various tables for growing plants – including the initially hard-to-find Hogwarts Legacy Mandrake – potions, and other elements that you might want to use as part of your own Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy. You can also customize the floor and walls, and add paintings and furniture. However, these abilities take up valuable Hogwarts Legacy spell slots. Therefore, you might want to swap them out when not using the room.
When you’re all set up in the room, you can visit Hogsmeade and purchase ‘spellcrafts’ from Tomes and Scrolls. This will let you buy more items for the room, including large Hogwarts Legacy pots and decorations found in the world.
What you need to do to access the Room of Requirement
Once you have unlocked the Room of Requirement, you won’t have to wander the halls trying to find it in order to check on your various projects. Rather, look for a sun icon near the school on your Hogwarts Map. You can teleport directly into the Room of Requirement by hitting the marker for “secret rooms”, as well as the Map Camber Floo Flame points.
