A Guide to Obtaining Destiny 2’s Wanderer Strand Aspect

As Destiny 2 celebrates its twentieth season, a new campaign, Lightfall, is dropping alongside the main game. This futuristic FPS game has been a fan favorite for years now, and with good reason. Discover Neomuna, a new city on Neptune, and thwart the evil plans of the Witness and its newest disciple, Calus, a familiar face for veterans. While you complete the many quests and side missions in this new expansion, you can choose from a variety of weapons, classes, and abilities.

You must work to save Neomuna’s citizens from impending doom by taking on the Shadow Legion and mastering Strand, the newest subclass. Destiny 2 explores many powerful skills you can unlock with the Strand subclass, including the Wanderer Strand Aspect.

How Do You Get the Wanderer Strand Aspect in Destiny 2?

Lightfall requires you to complete the entire campaign to obtain the Wanderer Strand Aspect. It requires completing all missions, as well as defeating Calus (if you dare!) and stopping his evil plots. Strand Meditations can be collected by completing quests in Neomuna and performing general activities such as patrolling once you have done that.

Only Warlocks can use the Wanderer Aspect, Hunters the Threaded Specter Aspect, and Titans the Flechette Storm Aspect. You might be better off trying one of those Aspects instead first if you prefer playing as one of the other classes! As a result, players will be able to craft more unique builds, since they will have to consider all three Aspects.

Aspects, including Wanderer Strand, can be purchased from the vendor located at Pouka Pond. Take the above picture and head to Striders’ Gate, then go to Pouka Pond to find the merchant selling your desired Aspects.

You will need 150 Strand Meditations for each of the Aspects, 200 Strand Meditations for Fragments, and 50 Strand Meditations for Grenade Abilities. Whenever you have enough money, head to the merchant near Pouka Pond in Neomuna to get the Wanderer Aspect!

Wanderer Strand: What Does It Do?

At the moment, we don’t know what the Wanderer Strand Aspect will do for your Warlock (the only class compatible). Even though it’s pricey, 150 Strand Meditations will put a powerful boost to the Guardian’s combat skills. Possibly boosting existing Warlock powers or improving movement, perhaps providing a buff in combat or some other change, is what we may expect to see with the Wanderer Strand Aspect. The new Strand Aspect in Destiny 2 cannot be said for certain, unfortunately.

In the meantime, we don’t know how any of the Strand Aspects work since none have been revealed, and we won’t know until Season 21, when we’ll know exactly how they’ll work. Bungie has a history of leaking secrets, so gamers will have to stay on the edge of their seats until then.

Strand Meditations: How Do You Get Them?

Throughout the campaign and game, you can get Strand Meditations by using your Strand abilities. If you want to collect a lot of Strand Meditations, we recommend farming them at the Vex Incursion Zone, which is a great place to use your Strand abilities. Completing Destiny 2 objectives and going through the motions will also earn you a few.

Invasion Zone: What Is It?

Look for the green-purple diamond-like shape, filled with various animated lines, on your map to locate this moving patrol zone. Vex Incursion Zone is located within Neomuna, but the exact location does not stay the same, so keep track of it! We recommend your Guardians head to the Vex Incursion Zone if they want to farm Strand Meditations.

Farming in the Vex Incursion Zone

Strand Meditations can only be obtained by defeating enemies using Strand abilities, so it is important to farm in hostile areas. Vex Incursion Zone is the best place to find Strand Meditations, since opponents here are more likely to drop them when they die. You will want to take down as many enemies as possible with efficient timing, so equip your Guardian with Area of Effect weapons and abilities.

In addition to patrols, which give 7 Strand Meditations each, you can also get Strand Meditations from Terminal Overload key chests, which can give 100 Strand Meditations. Strand Meditations can be earned by completing Neomuna’s Public Events and Quests, and 200 Strand Meditations can be obtained by reaching Nimbus Vendor Rank 18.
