Hogwarts Legacy has an accessibility option that causes blue characters. The following is a guide on how to disable it.
The blue character bug in Hogwarts Legacy should have been fixed, but if you are still experiencing problems, then do not worry, as the accessibility setting for high contrast can be turned on if something isn’t looking right. If you’re visually impaired, you may find this effect very useful, but if you don’t know what it is or how to stop it, you may find it less useful. If you don’t like how the world appears, here’s what you can do to fix it. If you are experiencing colorful graphics, here is what you can do.

The best way to fix blue characters on Hogwarts Legacy
As mentioned before, blue Hogwarts Legacy characters appear when a core accessibility option called High Contrast Gameplay is enabled. The issue appears to be a bug that activates this mode for some people, giving them that distinct coloration. If you don’t enable it, it is obviously going to be confusing for you.
The following steps should be followed to deactivate High Contrast Gameplay in Hogwarts Legacy:
- Navigate to Settings in the main menu
- Navigate to the Accessibility section (the little man’s picture)
- Click the High Contrast Gameplay option at the bottom and turn it off
The game should work after that, which means that you’ll get a game that looks like this, which is without accessibility settings enabled, and without blue characters or bright yellow doors and objects either. There seems to be no word yet on what is causing the problem, but it’ll likely be fixed soon enough.
