The open beta system requirements for Diablo 4 have been confirmed by Blizzard and if you have a gaming PC built in the last five years or so, you should be able to take part in the open beta without any problems.
In addition to revealing the PC specifications for Diablo 4, the latest developer update also revealed a surprisingly adorable beta reward in the form of a baby wolf on a backpack cosmetic (yes, it really is a baby wolf with a backpack cosmetic). Regardless, both the minimum and recommended PC specs that you’ll need to run the Diablo 4 open beta are pretty comprehensive, but you’ll want to keep in mind that you’ll need a bit more power than what’s listed here if you plan on playing the full game.
The following are the minimum system requirements for Diablo 4 open beta:
- Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
- Processor: Intel Core i5-2500L or AMD FX-8100
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
In terms of technical specs, Diablo has never been a particularly demanding series from a technical perspective, but I am quite surprised to hear that the recommended specs are no better than my old i5/RX 580 configuration. As a gamer, I’m curious to see if the full-game requires a rig that is capable of handling all the hottest new games of 2023 at their highest settings, but until then I’m glad to pretend I have a high-end PC that is capable of running all the hottest new games of 2023 at their highest settings.
There will be an open beta version of Diablo 4 for pre-orders from March 17-19 as well as the open beta for everyone else from March 24-26.
