A Low-End Pc’s Guide to Optimizing PC Game Pass

Do you have trouble running PC Game Pass? Here are some tips for optimizing your PC.

While every gamer wants a high-end gaming PC, it’s not in every home. You can feel left behind when your low-end PC keeps chugging along, too, especially with the speed at which games and technology are advancing. Using these tips and workarounds to get Game Pass running smoothly on your low-end PC doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy playing AAA games on Game Pass.

1. Learn what your PC can do.

Understanding your PC’s limitations is the first step to making Xbox Game Pass work better on it. As a result, you’ll know exactly where your PC needs help and which parts are struggling. You’ll know what background apps to close if your CPU is struggling, for example. When you know exactly what your PC struggles with, you can cross-check a game’s system requirements to figure out if you can run it before you install it.

Run a game on Game Pass and see how your PC performs. Press Windows and G at the same time to open the Xbox Game Bar. Check out your PC’s performance by switching to Performance.

2. Make sure your PC is in game mode.

If you’re playing Game Pass on your PC, make sure Game Mode is on. You can put Game Mode on when you want to suspend unnecessary background activities on your PC, like installing drivers and sending reset notifications.

Your PC’s undivided attention is given to your game when Game Mode is on, so it can run more smoothly. Open your settings and turn on game mode. Turn on Game Mode in Gaming, then go to Game Mode.

3. How to play Xbox Game Pass on your PC with Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Still have gaming woes on your low-end PC? Here are a few other workarounds to fix the problem. Using the cloud and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are two options. Streaming games from another location lets you bypass your PC’s low specs.

You’ll need an internet connection for cloud gaming, but it’s much easier to get than the latest PC. Xbox Game Pass also lets you play cloud games, so you’ll have plenty of options. Even if you’re on the fence about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the fact that it lets low-end PC owners play console-level games may be enough to convince you.

4. Stream Xbox Game Pass on your PC.

Compared to your PC, your Xbox Series X|S is pretty powerful. Remote Play is one of the most impressive features of Xbox.

Playing remotely is sort of like playing cloud games, but you’re streaming them from your console, not from somewhere else. Any compatible device, even a low-end PC, can stream your favorite console games through Remote Play. You could play it on a potato and it would probably work because Remote Play uses the console specs instead of whatever device you’re playing it on. With Remote Play, Xbox games can also be streamed to Android devices.

Low-end PCs can play Xbox Game Pass!

This guide should get you gaming away on Game Pass in no time if you love PC controls but your computer can’t handle video games well.

The joys of Game Pass should be accessible to everyone. No matter what you do, you can use Game Pass on your low-end PC, whether you use Game Mode or Xbox’s Cloud or Remote Play.
