A Guide to GoldenEye 007 Cheats

The GoldenEye 007 cheats enable you to unlock new weapons, characters, and levels throughout the story and multiplayer modes. Some levels are inspired by James Bond films over the years, such as The Golden Gun and Moonraker, while others are more original, such as throwing paintballs at enemies.

Cheats could be unlocked in GoldenEye 007 either by entering a cheat code or by completing certain levels. Although it still works on Switch – which is essentially the same as the N64 version, with some caveats when it comes to registering inputs – entering codes on Xbox does not work, so you have to unlock each cheat manually.

UNLOCK AZTEC AND EGYPTIAN IN GOLDENEYE 007

You can unlock two bonus levels – Aztec and Egyptian – by completing every main story mission on a certain difficulty:

Aztec can be unlocked with an additional cheat code on Switch and N64, but this only works after you’ve unlocked all the main story levels. For Egyptian, there is no code, so you have to do the research yourself.

GOLDENEYE 007 CHEAT CODES ON XBOX AND SWITCH

In the original N64 game, cheats could be unlocked by entering codes and completing in-game tasks. However, codes are not available for the Xbox version.

In Switch, the C buttons are assigned to the right analog stick, and the Left, Right, Up, and Down inputs are assigned to the D-pad, not the left analog stick. It is fine to enter each command at your own pace. However, be aware that for the final command, you might have to hold on for several seconds to make it work. Even then, it might not work – so continue trying until you see results.

When you’re having trouble, double-check where you need to input each specific cheat – such as during gameplay or in the multiplayer menu – and know that the mission unlocks cheats only work in sequence, starting with Facility, followed by Runway, etc. It may be necessary to do things the old-fashioned way if you can’t activate these codes.
