Disney Dreamlight Valley is probably a dream come true for those who grew up watching Disney movies and characters. A friendship with the Mouse itself would be a great experience, wouldn’t it? The good news is that you will get to do all that and more. One of the advantages of being friends with all the characters in the village, namely, Disney characters, was that specific roles were assigned to make the village as self-sustaining as possible. Previously, it was a permanent call made on behalf of the player, and it couldn’t be reversed. Until now. Here is how to change Villager Roles in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Change Villager Roles
The ability to change villager roles was something that fans had been asking for for a long time. With the new Disney Dreamlight Valley upgrade, it is now a reality, and getting to change villager roles is a unique process you must undertake. While you could think that changing villager roles is as simple as clicking a villager and changing its roles, the reality is that it is a bit more complicated than that. Let’s see.
In order to change villager roles, you will have to craft a Training Manual at any Crafting Station available throughout the map. Before you do that, be aware that you will need at least a rank 2 friendship with the villager whose role you want to change. After that, go ahead and craft the Training Manual, which will require a specific number of resources. Then, go ahead and gift this Manual to the villager, which will start the assigned role at once. You can find each manual in the Potion & Enchantment Bar. There are a total of five roles: Digging, Fishing, Foraging, Gardening, and Mining. Here is a table with all the roles with their required resourced.
Training Manual Resource Cost
Digging Manual – 5,000 Dreamlight, 20 Pebbles, 20 Sand, 30 Soil
Fishing Manual – 5,000 Dreamlight, 2 Swordfish, 5 Bream, 10 Herring
Foraging Manual – 5,000 Dreamlight, 30 Banana, 20 Blueberry, 10 Basil
Gardening Manual – 5,000 Dreamlight, 40 Corn, 60 Tomato, 20 Carrot
Mining Manual – 5,000 Dreamlight, 2 Topaz, 2 Aquamarine, 2 Peridot
As you can see, these manuals are pretty expensive, so make sure to assign them to the proper villager and also save up for any future role change. Be sure to continue spending time and sharing activities with all the characters in the Village to continue strengthening those friendship bonds. Have a good one!
