The 3D platformer genre of my childhood, in which you collect stars, coins, puzzle puzzles, magical notes, battle dragons, witches, and the devil himself, is perhaps your favourite genre. Although some may consider this genre to be dead and keep it together with rhythm games and collect-a-thons, I will always keep an eye out for new platformers. I have played Kukoos: Lost Pets since it finished its Early Access stage. My review for Kukoos: Lost Pets is presented to you today with utmost gallantry and consideration. Here it is.
The Biggest Takeaways From Kukoos
-
There is a lot of resemblance between the gameplay and the feel of classic 3D platformers.
-
The variety of gameplay styles ensures you can adapt to any new obstacle.
-
Throughout the game, there is a correct implementation of balance.
-
I am extremely impressed with the design of the characters, the world and the levels.
Final Score: 8/10
Although Kukoos: Lost Pets isn’t perfect, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I think it’s probably because I am a sucker for 3D platformers, but when I dropped the rage caused by constant deaths, I remember exactly how I felt back in the day as a 3D platformer. This is a well-designed game, with unique worlds and levels, mechanics that add uniqueness, and enough variety to keep you entertained. I believe this is a great game, even though the story is a bit out there for me kudos to you, Petit Fabri, you did an outstanding job with your game.
