Despite its goofy gameplay, bugs and cartoon-like graphics, Goat Simulator 3 is one of the craziest games I’ve ever played.
The purpose of this review is to clarify that it’s unique. One that explains why you should buy the game and what turns you off about it. It gives you what you need to know without the unnecessary information. Don’t let me spoil it all for you.
Goat Simulator 3 – The Good
It’s been a few months since I watched the gameplay trailer, and I forgot about how crazy the game is. But I am sure you will surprise even if you know what it looks like.
As you progress and explore areas, you will realize there’s so much to do. Let’s start with the gameplay.
Gameplay
Playing Goat Simulator 3 is a fantastic experience based on the quests and events you have to complete in order to advance. There are no limits to the creative monstrosity of this game. From getting thrown in air by huge exhausts to driving a car and literally headbutting people to oblivion.
Goat Simulator 3 – The Bad
After playing the game for over a week, I still love the awkward fun and violence in the game. It’s not just true for Goat Simulator 3, but for most games with whimsical gameplay and loose storylines as well.
The multiplayer is fun, but the story slowly fades away. Apart from the character progression in the Goat Tower, there isn’t much to rely on. In the game, a farmer brings you in with a short story, but it doesn’t lead to any other cut scenes.
It can sometimes feel like the game lacks purpose, and that’s the biggest drawback I found.
If you are still unsure, let me clarify. Goat Simulator 3 is like Grand Theft Auto on steroids. What happens when you type cheats into GTA and cause mayhem like a lunatic terrorist? Yes, the story takes a back seat and you cause chaos. There’s still the option to turn everything off and go along with the story mode and missions. Goat Simulator 3 doesn’t have that. More importantly, it’s fun to play. It’s chaotic, weird, and meme-worthy.
If you want a casual game to blow off some steam, this is the right game for you. However, if you like a bit of story, it can feel empty after a week or two.
