The Top Cards to Use in Marvel Snap Klyntar

Now available, the Marvel Snap Klyntar Featured Location features a new effect that is both intriguing and challenging. You can certainly play your standard decks and succeed here, but you’ll do better if you have cards that complement Klyntar’s effects on hand. But what precisely is Klyntar, which cards are ideal to employ there, and what are some tactics for quicker victories? Here are the essential details about Klyntar from Marvel Snap.

What is Klyntar?

In Marvel Snap, Klyntar is a location that, on turn 4, causes a symbiote to emerge. On the fourth turn, all cards present at this location will combine (rather than be destroyed) into a single 1-Cost card called a Symbiote. It presently has a 40% chance of spawning for the duration of the Featured Location. Remember that many of the Klyntar cards that were played before turn four will not have any impact after the symbiote spawns.

Klyntar’s Ideal Playing Cards

With all of this in mind, Klyntar should be played with low-cost, high-Power cards to make the Symbiote as potent as possible on turn 4.

We Suggest the Following:

  • Ebony Maw (1 Cost, 7 Power): You can’t play this after turn 3. Ongoing: You can’t play cards here
  • Falcon (2 Cost, 3 Power): On Reveal: Return your 1-Cost cards to your hand
  • Lizard (2 Cost, 5 Power): Ongoing: -3 Power if your opponent has 4 cards here
  • Patriot (3 Cost, 1 Power): Ongoing: Your cards with no abilities have +2 Power
  • Brood (3 Cost, 2 Power): On Reveal: Add 2 Broodlings to this location with the same Power
  • Maximus (3 Cost, 7 Power): On Reveal: Your opponent draws 2 cards
  • Typhoid Mary (4 Cost, 10 Power): Ongoing: Your other cards have -1 Power
  • Taskmaster (5 Cost, 0 Power): On Reveal: Set this card’s Power equal to the Power of the last card you
  • played
  • Red Skull (5 Cost, 15 Power):
  • Arnim Zola (6 Cost, 0 Power): On Reveal: Destroy a random friendly card here. Add copies of it to the other locations

A number of the cards stated above have high Power and low cost, but there is a catch. You’ll gain the advantages without suffering the drawbacks because the Symbiote counteracts many of these cards’ bad effects (like with Typhoid Mary, for instance).

When you don’t need to play all of these cards to win, having a few of them on hand will help you out while Klyntar shows up more regularly.

Using Arnim Zola in the final turn after the Symbiote has consumed all of your other cards is a successful tactic. If you have played strong cards into Klyntar, the symbiote will be strong; nevertheless, the Arnim Zola will destroy it and create two more in the other locations.

With this Featured Location, keep in mind that players will probably deploy Killmonger (On Reveal: Destroy ALL 1-Cost cards), which does eliminate the Symbiote.
