PS5 Stocks Are Looking Positive According to Sony. You Might Be Able to Get a PS5 Soon if You’re Waiting for It.
With empty shelves in stores and bots online, buying a PS5 has been tough for many. There’s a worldwide chip shortage, so everyone who wants one is searching high and low for one – some are getting them, others are still waiting.
Things are looking up, according to Sony.

‘Finding a PS5 should be easier starting this year,’ said PlayStation in a tweet promoting the post. Maybe by 2023 you’ll be able to upgrade from PS4 to PS5, but it might not be right away.
Sony’s Previous Statements: What’s Different?
A global semiconductor chip shortage has made PS5 consoles hard to find since launch. This is the most optimistic statement Sony has ever made about increasing its supplies. You’re thanking PlayStation for being patient, so it’s possible the issue has been solved. But that doesn’t mean they’ll show up overnight.
Are PS5s Coming Out?
Hang on to your PS4 a little longer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t mean you’ll find one right away, though Sony says you’ll have an easier time finding one now.
