Guide Contents
The guide explains the game’s content, the available cars, and the mechanics of the single player and multiplayer modes. You’ll learn how to set up and adjust the car to drift. As well as a list of the best upgrades for cars, particularly those that improve performance at the lowest price, we’ve included numerous starting tips that explain the key elements of the game. In addition, you’ll learn where all the secrets are and how to get all the achievements.
Quick Guide
- Never spend all your money – most races require a fee to participate.
- The storyline doesn’t affect multiplayer – when you start a multiplayer game, you create a new character and start from scratch.
- The way the game is designed will make it hard for you to win at the beginning. Even if you don’t win, you still get money to develop and upgrade your car.
- Front-wheel drive cars are hard to drive for beginners and aren’t great for drifting, which is required in some races and generates bonus boosts when you move around the city.
- You can repeat races – if you make a lot of mistakes at the beginning, you can repeat the race. It’s better to try again than to face other competitors for less money.
- Performance isn’t affected by appearance – in some editions of NFS or other games, you can modify the body and its elements, such as a spoiler or side steps, to increase aerodynamics and speed or downforce. Need for Speed Unbound doesn’t have this.
Unbound: The Basics
- Get to know all the cars you can race in NFS Unbound.
- The lakeshore map shows where you’ll start the challenges and where the secrets are: billboards, bears, graffiti, etc.
