Pixel style games are my favorite hobby. Their performance is great (at least most of the time). Now, I’m not much of a racing gamer, but I do enjoy a race here and there. My casual gaming needs are best served by pixel art and racing games. Add a story mode to any game, and I’m hooked. I love a good story. What’s the deal with Pixel Car Racer? Does it have this mode? Pixel Car Racer: How do I unlock Story Mode? Here’s everything you need to know about this mode. Don’t leave.
Unlocking Story Mode
Pixel Car Racer has three race modes, or options, when you pick Race mode. There’s drag, street, and story. Drag mode lets you compete against the computer in a professional or championship setting. Just like Drag mode, Street mode is a race on the street. Yeah, duh. Because you’re racing on the street, you’ll have to dodge cars. The street.
Anyway, we finally have Story mode. There’s a lock icon on top. If it’s not accessible, maybe there’s something you can do in-game to make it accessible. Sadly, that’s not the case. Sorry to break the bad news, but Pixel Car Racer has been abandoned by the developers for at least three years. Developers promised story mode in a future update. I never got that update.
Despite some games being great in early access and bringing a lot of interest, the majority of early access games or incomplete games as we called them in the past are usually forgotten. Pixel Car Racer is like that, and so are countless other games. I wouldn’t bet on a Pixel Car Racer story mode someday.
