As of Today, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Is the Best-Selling Game of the Year
45% growth in video game hardware dollar sales was seen in November 2022 thanks to the greater availability of PlayStation 5 consoles alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II becoming the best-selling game of the year so far.
Video game spending among U.S. consumers reached $6.3 billion in November 2022, a 3% increase over the same period last year, according to the NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella.
PlayStation 5’s Best Games
In both unit and dollar sales, the PS5 was the best-selling console in the U.S. in May and remains the best-selling console in 2022. In terms of units sold, Nintendo Switch is still the best-selling console.
Aside from becoming the fastest Call of Duty game to reach $1 billion, it was also the best-selling game of the month in the U.S. Alongside God of War Ragnarok, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Sonic Frontiers, it cracked the top five best-selling games of the month. Last but not least was Madden NFL 23.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn placed 17th, the only other new game in the top 20. Below is a list of the best-selling games in November 2022;
