It makes sense that people would want to combine Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s multiplayer feature with another of the games’ best features: Area Zero. Learn how to explore Area Zero in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet multiplayer!
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How to Play Area Zero Multiplayer
Area Zero is playable in multiplayer just like any other area in the game. The multiplayer experience might be a bit different from what you’re used to. While exploring Area Zero in multiplayer, you won’t be able to see your friends, even if you’re right next to them. The paradox Pokémon in Area Zero are version-exclusive and differ depending on whether you have Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet.
Not only can’t you see your friends in Area Zero, but you can’t even see their version-exclusive paradox Pokémon. You can only see paradox Pokémon exclusive to your version, whether you have Scarlet or Violet. At first, it might seem annoying, but it gives each player a chance to explore their game’s unique paradox Pokémon without being bombarded by paradox Pokémon from another game (although it’s frustrating if you’d like to catch some version-exclusive paradox Pokemons).
Just be aware that you won’t be able to see your friends while exploring Area Zero in multiplayer. It’s possible that the games will get an update that fixes this in the future, but you shouldn’t get your hopes up too soon.
