Warzone 2: How To Get A Tactical Nuke

Here’s how to get the Call of Duty Tactical Nuke killstreak in Warzone 2.0.

Al Mazrah’s new map has Call of Duty’s iconic Tactical Nuke killstreak. The game-ending nuke is a tough goal to achieve since it’s such a powerful reward. Let’s walk you through nuking Al Mazrah.

What you need to do to get a nuke on Al Mazrah

First, you have to get five wins in a row in Warzone 2 before you can even start the complicated steps to earning a Tactical Nuke killstreak. After your fifth consecutive win, you’ll get the Champion’s Quest contract on your sixth match.

Contract for Champion’s Quest

Get the quest going

Your sixth match will start with three yellow Warzone logos, all relatively close to each other. Select any of the three and the quest will start. In the Champion’s Quest, you’re supposed to assemble the nuke and destroy the warzone. The contract objective requires you to find the Periodic Elements you’ll need.

Putting everything in its place

During the game, four circles will appear on an objective meter, and you’ll need to wait for each circle to fill up and reveal elements on the map. You’ll find Beryllium at the marked location. Anyone holding the Beryllium will be permanently marked with a Most Wanted crown for the rest of the match. The gold crown means you’re trying to assemble the nuke, instead of the regular red one. Everyone who’s done the quest knows what you’re doing.

Once you get Beryllium, you have to wait for Plutonium to be revealed and repeat the process. As soon as you grab Plutonium, you’ll take constant damage for the rest of the game. The armor plates will eat away and slowly damage the carrier. Also, it’ll damage any teammates nearby. Tritium is the last element revealed, and it’s going to scramble the radar for the rest of the match. In the same way that radiation damage affects close squad members, this will too.

It’s time to reveal the bomb site at the start of the fourth circle, and you’ll have all three elements for the Tactical Nuke. Remember, you’re still under the influence of all the elements. When you get all three elements, you start a Jailbreak public event, which brings back all the dead and spectating players. You’ll also get a chance to fight if you’re spectating the nuke assembly, so stick around.

Putting the nuke together

A plane will drop the bomb on the map at the start of the fourth circle collapse. Once it hits, a 5-minute timer will start. Take the materials to its location and put them in the device. It’s going to get rid of all the negative effects, then there’ll be a 2-minute countdown until it explodes.

You’ll have to fight everyone who knows about the nuke. When you defuse a nuke, it takes a few seconds, just like multiplayer’s Search and Destory mode. Tactical nukes will end the game if not defused. If you fail, you don’t have to start over. You’ll get two more chances to complete the Champion’s Quest contract if you fail. In any other case, you’ll need to hope for another five-win streak.

Rewards from Champions’ Quest

Your squad and you get more than just XP and bragging rights when you finish the quest. In addition to a special Champion’s Domination victory screen, you’ll also get a nuke-themed calling card, emblem, sticker, and weapon charm.

What you need to do to earn the nuke

Keep yourself and your squad on the move with a helicopter, which keeps you safer and makes finding everything easier. Keep the elements carrier(s) safe by sticking together. It’s up to you how you play. You can grab one element and succumb to its effects, or you can split them up. You can loot in quiet places away from the main POIs during the wait times between element reveals. Ensure that at least one person has stims and armor plates in their backpack, so you have enough to keep you alive.

You’ll also need to go to gas stations to repair and refuel, which you can do by landing on top of a gas station’s rooftop. If you need to refuel on the go, a squadmate can carry gas cans in their backpack. You’re going to have a hard time completing this quest, but hopefully this guide can help.

Getting started with Warzone 2.0 might be a good idea if you’re new.
