Here’s the DMZ objective you need to open with a Stronghold keycard
For loot and useful gear, you’ll need a Warzone 2 DMZ Stronghold key. You’ll need a key before you can get inside, then you’ll use it to get in. DMZ is the new Warzone 2 mode. There are tons of new systems to learn, but it’s a lot like Warzone 2. DMZ isn’t your typical battle royale – instead of just surviving, you gotta acquire gear and make it out. This Warzone 2 mode will give you a head start if you know where to find a Stronghold key in DMZ.
Where to find DMZ Stronghold keys in Warzone 2
Many players have found DMZ Stronghold keys while clearing out AI – which works decently, but is inconsistent since the keys drop randomly. Our recommendation is to use an alternative method since you’ll never know if and when an enemy will drop a key.
It’s actually possible to buy Stronghold keys for $5,000 at Buy Stations. Obviously, the Stronghold keys don’t always appear at Buy Stations, but this is more consistent than just waiting for a random AI enemy to drop a key.
It’s best to play with friends so you’re all on the same page. Once you’ve got AI, loot the insides of buildings as much as you can. Keep an eye out for safes and cash registers, as they’re great sources of cash. Additionally, pick up anything you can, such as batteries and comic books. As you work your way towards the Buy Station, replace lower-value items with higher-value ones to maximize your inventory space.
On the map, you’ll see a castle icon representing the closest Stronghold, along with the closest Buy Station (hopefully they’re not too far). You’re all set for the battle if you grab the Stronghold key from the Buy Station.
Take Note
You only need one Stronghold key to open one. There’s no need to buy more than one. We need to keep this in mind, because Stronghold keys don’t work like Fortress keys (like Police Academy keys). Strongholds can only be opened with one key, while some Fortresses need multiple keys to access every area. There’s a catch, since Stronghold keys cannot be extracted, so you’ll have to collect them every time you visit Al Mazrah. But once you start collecting cash, visiting Buy Stations, and selling junk, it’ll just come naturally (just like earning a loadout in Warzone 1).
