Following the phenomenal success of Pokemon Go, the Pokemon Company has expanded from its usual 2 games every few years to a system dedicated to sharing and retaining your favorite Pokemon. Scarlet and Violet are just around the corner, so the addition is only going to get bigger. There will be a lot of people who want to keep their newly discovered Pokemon connected with everything from GO. It’s something Pokemon has been promoting for a while now. Here’s how to link Go and Scarlet and Violet
When Scarlet and Violet are released, you can connect your Switch and GO. You know, if you haven’t already from other Pokemon games. Once you’ve loaded the new game, go to Options in either Scarlet or Violet. Then you’ll hit “Yes” to open Pokémon GO settings. Your Pokemon GO account will be searched.
During this process, you’ll need to open Pokemon GO. Click the Poke Ball on screen to go to the Settings menu. Select “Nintendo Switch” from the list. You’ll need to hit “Yes” to pair the console and phone. Both devices need to be turned on for Bluetooth. There you go! The Switch and Pokemon GO are now linked, so if you haven’t already, you’ll be able to play any Pokemon game that’s linked to GO. Link Pokemon Home too, because it’s still the only way to save and retain Pokemon from any other game.
